Born on the steps of a Vegas hotel, we were always going to be troublemakers. We started from one belief: that small businesses deserved better. 

Paymentsense Ltd was founded in 2009. 

With financial success, an impressive trophy cabinet (The Sunday Times Tech Track, Inc 5000, Great Places To Work to name a few) and a culture to be proud of, we knew we had built something great. In 2019, with 85,000 customers while steadily onboarding 2,500 more each month, we knew our customers could be happier, so we ripped up the rule book. To become genuinely customer-first in our culture and thinking, we identified all our customers' pain points and created 'The Wall of Pain'. That's when we knew that to offer the best solutions, we needed to build a new product. 

Enter, Dojo.

Dojo represents an enormous organisational shift; we had to restructure how we thought and did things. In a year since we officially launched Dojo, we've welcomed over 20,000 new customers, 500 new team members and called two brand new offices home. We've evolved into a dynamic, product-led business creating our own payments products, integrated card machines and transaction monitoring app. Here, we go home each day knowing we've made a difference —our industry-leading NPS score and 5-star Trustpilot rating tells us that!

As we enter our next growth phase and embark on another exciting shift towards a B2B2C model following the acquisition of queue-management system and consumer app, Walkup, we have a lot of work to do. Over the next year, the business will transform again as we steady the ship for multinational growth and product diversification. We're looking for people who can enhance our agility, ambition and risk-taking mentality while turning us into a well-oiled machine that's well-positioned to shape the experience economy.

The Role

 

You will drive our organisations agility forward and improve our ways of working, working closely with the Leadership team, different levels of management, experienced practitioners, and our Product - all while driving continuous improvement efforts, identifying and removing organisational blockers to high performance and delivering high quality software.

Agile Coaches at Dojo coach our Squads and Tribes towards  high performance focusing on improving team culture, ways of working, execution and delivery practices and the wider organisational culture to facilitate more effective delivery for customers.

Working across all levels of the organisation, you will ensure that our culture, ways of working, execution, and delivery approaches facilitate excellent outcomes for our customers. Focussing specifically on how we take new products from idea to market, creating the ways of working that enable tribe and squad collaboration and delivery.   

What you will do…

  • Own the Agile strategy in the Dojo

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Exec and Senior Leadership team, ensuring their behaviours and actions support and enhance our agile culture

  • Support the broader business adoption of the Agile mindset and related methodologies

  • Lead Agile initiatives across the  Organisation

  • Lead the community of Agile Coaches, via mentoring, coaching, and objective setting.

  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to ensure a coordinated growth in Agile maturity across the business

  • Enhance the needed mind-set & behaviours, across the business

  • Leverage our teams experience in Agile-related practices & tools

  • Enable a systemic culture of experimentation and innovation

  • Report and correlate improvements with business impact

  • Help to turn our tribes into high performance, autonomous customer machines

  • Promote team self-improvement through autonomy and empowerment

What you will bring...

  • You have experience as a senior or lead Agile Coach or in a similar role working with cross functional teams in both Technical & non-Technical environments

  • You have strong organisational and communication skills when approaching problem solving

  • You bring a collaborative approach to working

  • Coaching & mentoring other team members

  • You will have experience in leading teams of agile coaches and embedding agile coaching as a profession

  • You have experience in coaching C level executives, helping them evaluate their own performance and behaviours to better achieve organisational goals

  • Exceptional communication skills, having the ability to influence all levels of the organisation

  • You will have experience working at the “enterprise level” to design ways of working and structures at scale that enable flow & customer outcomes

  • Your own unique style and approach to Agile beyond the textbook
