The Role
Reporting into our Group Financial Controller, you will be the owner of all things tax. From partnering with tax advisors externally, to being responsible for Dojo’s group tax planning, reporting and compliance. You’ll work on a breadth of tax related activities; advising the business on transformation projects to ensure compliance with relevant tax legislation and determine, where necessary, the appropriate transfer pricing requirements.
Being part of the wider finance team, you’ll be critical to driving accounting and business process improvements to ensure data captured for tax purposes is automated and accurate.
What you will do…

Manage the timely delivery of UK tax computations and addressing enquiries (where necessary) from HMRC supported by our external tax advisors

Supporting the Group finance team in production of the disclosures for the UK and group consolidated statutory accounts, including working with our auditors and local tax authorities as required

Assist in complying with transfer pricing requirements preparing group for country by country reporting

Ensuring tax balances are correctly reflected in quarterly reports and supporting our Management Accounting team with tax related matters and related accounting

Proactively monitor UK and overseas tax payment and filing deadlines and leading tax input for cashflow forecasts

Provide tax advisory from time to time on global expansion and commercial contracts and determining when external advisory support needs to be engaged

Review and test effectiveness of tax risk management controls and procedures in place, seek and ensure delivery of improvements

Leading on development, implementation, and delivery of the Group's Tax Strategy ahead of SAO requirements, including identification and evaluation of key tax risks
What you will bring…

Qualified tax professional or relevant accounting qualifications with depth and breadth across Tax

Prior experience of global group company tax reporting and compliance process

UK GAAP current and deferred tax knowledge and experience desirable

Proven ability to take ownership of a project from conception to completion with minimal supervision

Ability and flexibility to work well under tight deadlines and multi-task
-
Confidence in providing tax advice to key business stakeholders

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and with the ability to interpret and present findings clearly and succinctly

Experience in Technology, Fintech or a related sector is preferable

Experience of the SAO regime beneficial

Experience of tax compliance in USA and Italy an advantage
