The Role
As a Payment Services Analyst at Dojo , you will be at the heart of our acquiring operations, ensuring seamless payment acceptance for our merchant. You will troubleshoot, support, and optimize payment flows, POS terminals, and integrations, helping merchants achieve reliable, fast, and secure transactions. This is a highly collaborative, technical, and merchant-facing role in a fast-paced fintech environment.
What you will do...
You will be providing support and take ownership of assigned application related activities in the day-to-day operations of the payment production applications
Provide support (Logging and investigating via system and database logs) to payment applications to clarify any issues in production.
Document where applicable production applications and processes and maintain a repository of production related questions and answers.
You will identify proactive remedial strategies to prevent future software problems and to improve the quality of delivered software.
Monitor daily transaction flows, identify anomalies, and investigate failed or delayed payments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payments, terminals, and merchant systems.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to implement improvements and optimize payment reliability.
Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution to minimize merchant disruption.
Assist with merchant onboarding, terminal configuration, and ongoing technical guidance.
What you will bring...
4+ years working in a technical production support role with financial institutions or in the fintech environment
Knowledge of acquiring, card schemes (Visa, Mastercard), and transaction flows.
Hands-on experience with POS terminals, payment gateways, and merchant systems.
Great technical problem-solving skills, with an ability to develop a working understanding of a technical system using a variety of methods.
3+ years working with databases in either SQL, MySql, MongoDB, BigQuery or something similar.
Experience in reading application and server logs and knowledge in scripting languages (e.g. JSON, Java ,JavaScript)
Structured, organised and comfortable handle the competing pressures of immediate payment queries alongside day-to-day tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
