The Role

As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will report into our Finance Manager and support the Accounts Receivable team by strengthening operational finance. This role is absolutely critical to ensure that our customer invoice collections are accounted for correctly on the different systems, and bad debt is managed effectively.
You will also have strong communication skills, be adaptable and be able to move seamlessly from one task to another whilst maintaining accuracy and a calm, helpful persona.This is a fast paced and changing environment, so you will need to thrive on this. Being part of the wider finance team, you’ll have good Excel skills and be mathematically proficient.

What you will do…

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts by booking and allocating cash collections.

  • Reconciliation of sales ledgers versus customer accounts balances across the different systems to ensure accurate and true billing.

  • Highlight any discrepancies in the reconciled data to internal & external stakeholders to achieve resolution.

  • Process payment refunds to customers in a timely manner.

  • Manage the finance inbox by responding to any customer billing or payment queries.

  • Support the team with bad debt processes by implementing controls around it.

  • Understand the end to end AR process and how it impacts on the wider business.

  • Other ad hoc work assigned by the Finance Manager.

  • Demonstrable intermediate Excel Skills. You will be comfortable working with large spreadsheets and datasets.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Proactivity with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.

  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with other stakeholders within the business.

  • Passion and self-motivation, you’ll be a strong team player.
