You’ll be joining the team responsible for the build, optimisation and continuous improvement of our Data Platform, enabling millions of people to transact billions of pounds as they grow their businesses.
Our Data Platform runs on a multi-cloud environment (AWS/GCP). Built on the Data Mesh concept, it's a mix of in-house services and open-source products running in Kubernetes and utilising cloud native technologies.
Our mission is to allow Domains to produce Data Products by following Domain Driven Data Design principles. Also abstracting all the technical complexity by building Self Serve Experience with the help of Federated Data Governance.
The Data Platform is built on event-driven architecture. We process thousands of files and millions of events, building Data Products every day by leveraging in-house tools, Kubernetes, Airflow, Apache Kafka, PubSub and other cloud-native data technologies. We’re big fans of the CNCF landscape.
What you’ll do…
Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define and implement new Data features within the Data Platform
Write data services in Python or Go
Design, own and implement Data Infrastructure by using Infra-as-Code
Implement and manage Confluent Cloud services
Manage the life cycle of GKE deployments using ArgoCd and Helm Charts
Lead and contribute to POCs on new technologies
Monitor the health of the Data Platform and its components by using our Observability stack (Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, AlertOps, PagerDuty etc)
Mentor junior members of the team

We're open about where and how you've applied your experience, but you will most likely come from a background working as a Platform Engineer or Software Engineer (DATA), highly focused on managing Data infrastructure and its services.
