The Role

As an Automation QA Engineer you will focus on developing effective automated tests and test frameworks. Working within an Agile development squad, you will contribute to and maintain the automated execution of test suites, take ownership of issues and perform exploratory testing to identify issues in automated regression test cases. We work fast and push a lot of code to production, you’ll be playing a pivotal role in ensuring that what we release is robust & resilient.


 What you will do…

  • Rapidly integrate into the existing Signup squad and get up to speed on our systems and processes

  • Work in an agile fashion to support the squad’s product owner and dev team

  • Experience based exploratory testing of new features

  • Regression testing existing processes - including potentially automating API and front-end level tests where appropriate

  • Help manage the release cadence via our containerised CI/CD pipelines

  • Collaboration with the broader QA function to suggest process improvements and best practices

What you will bring...

  • A history of working with and testing APIs, WebServices and event driven microservices

  • Extensive agile testing experience, ideally with subject matter expertise in the payments industry

  • Experience in testing web and mobile front ends

  • An understanding of how and when to automate regression testing

  • Perspective on non-functional requirements, i.e performance and security

  • Exposure to GCP and specifically Cloud Pub/Sub

  • Strong attention to detail and the willingness to highlight errors and mistaken assumptions
